I’ve had Rilo Kiley on a constant repeat and I thought I’d check to see if they have anything coming up. Lo and behold, Jenny Lewis and her Beau, Johnathan Rice are releasing their debut album under the name Jenny and Johnny!
Their album, I’m Having Fun, is out Aug 31th! Wicked awesome lovely ;)

Weather in Nova Scotia has been insanely amazing. I’ve been enjoying my three month hiatus but… it’s time to wipe away the spiderwebs!
A friend had asked her fb friends for music picks for a roadtrip. My suggestions were Sia’s new album We Are Born, Gossip’s last album Music For Men and a few other randoms. One suggested Silver Ling by Rilo Kiley – aaahhh yes yes yes! Rilo Kiley is one of my fave summer bands and I hadn’t listened yet this year. So… I’ve been on a Rilo Kiley kick and came across this beauty! Ahhh love :)

The Good Natured (Sarah McIntosh) has been on my radar ever since I first heard Your Body Is A Machine back in February. Sarah seems to have everyone’s attention these days, and rightly so!
A few days ago I saw an update on facebook about Your Body Is A Machine remixes up on The Good Natured’s Myspace player. I checked them out and that’s when I first heard Tongue Tied. Check it out below – it’s a stunner!! And while there is no release date for Tongue Tied, the ‘Your Body Is A Machine’ remixes are out July 5th.

… Remix of 2010 just has to be Caribou – Odessa (Nite Jewel Remix)
This song has made it on almost every CD I’ve made since it came out in March (like a lot of people, I’m a huge playlist geek). It’s my 2nd most played song since last November and if I was any good at explanations, I’d tell you why this song is so beautiful and so perfect ;) It was my Day 60, but let’s enjoy this Sweet Jem again.
I’m sure everyone in Halifax knows, but Caribou is playing at The Paragon June 11th… Ahhhh Yeah!
